Is very probable that it could be a problem with your motherboard's DIMM slots or its Northbridge chipset.

The motherboard is great, and RAM is cheaper.

Brands to suggest looking into for RAM, Corsair, Kingston, Patriot, Muskin. Basically, just pick whatever you think looks best and is not to high to obstruct a CPU cooler.

This ram could be not compatible with your motherboard. Here is the list of the supported ram: QSSlcO8.png

Have you tried flashing to the newest bios using bios flashback to see if that helps? My ram is not listed as compatible with my motherboard, but flashing to the newest bios helped it boot.

it didnt work and the reason im asking for a new mobo it cuz the p8z77-m pro has a broken pci-e slot so i cant use both 660ti's i have.

I need to exchange the mobo to asus.  just wondering my options cuz i would like the faster ram and more ram.  i got it for $100.  visiontek is a good brand  but im assuming its only compatible with amd now that i think of it.

any other ideas?  I got a 3570k but id like to use this ram.  is there a board i can use to combine it all or do i need to sell this ram :(
