what would you recommend then?

Are you looking for a closed headphone, or did you just like the way the Momentum looked?

preferable a closed one. looks dont really matter to me as ill be using them at home most of the time

The NAD Viso HP50 would be a more comfortable choice, but is a tad more pricey than the Momentum. Mayflower's T50RP V3 has godly pads, but it is a heavier headphone. Those are the only two things that come to mind right now in the price range that have a similar sound to the Momentum (past my bed time :^) ).

Edit: FYI, I only agree with @Coombzy because both the Momentum Over-Ear and On-Ear are temperamental in their fit, so I don't like to recommend either without trying them out at a store. Personally, I thought the On-Ear was more comfortable, because the "over-ear" Momentum was not big enough to go over my ears completely. There's plenty of people on both sides of the fence.

A friend of mine has the on-ear version and they seem quite good.

The ATH M30x/M40x/M50x are good bang-for-your-buck options if you want to save a bit without losing too much quality.

The V-Moda headphones are quite "fun" sounding from what I have heard.
