There are different breeds of enthusiasts. For example; general technology enthusiast, overclocking enthusiast, pc gaming enthusiast, etc. I get excited about things like better on-board audio on a motherboard, SATA Express, DDR4, etc. I was so caught up with enthusiasm over SSD's that I didn't even realize 128MB cache hard drives existed until somewhat recently. Now I am excited about SED and RAID possibilities using these enterprise class storage drives. A general technology enthusiast gets excited over SSD technology, blu-rays, cell phone & linux customizations, power efficiency of a power supply, and in the future...240Hz IPS monitors & intended purpose of ARM cores on video cards.
