What is the cheapest PC hardware that you've bought?

Needed a new battery for my MacBook, and I got it from a friend for $10. Beats $89 from Apple.

EDIT: Staples had some ridiculous 16GB PNY flash drive sale a while back, got it for $5. Literally the most useful piece of tech I have ever purchased. It saved my ass countless times!

Man I love SSD's

When this one dies I want an Intel 7 series

When that one dies, send it over my way, and I'll use it as a plate to weep onto, every time I realize I can't afford an SSD to save my life. #highschoolproblems

My Samsung external DVDRW drive. It rarely gets used, but I keep it because it will eventually be used sometime down the road. Cost? $90 at the time.

Bought the E4400 Dualcore 2.0 Ghz OC'd to 3.2Ghz a little after it came out, but I had gotten it for about $40 (half price ish)

Still using the machine today, with a 2nd hand 256GB Sata2 SSD, 8GB of DDR2 1066mhz with the 270x (bought on ebay for $140)

Its currently my seedbox/portable lan gaming machine. Has been running "almost everyday" since being built.

Total cost of the machine is under $500 and it has lasted the distance and still plays titles at playable settings... mostly.

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

Same here :)

I scrounged around some garage sales and found 2x 900p screens, and a week later I found the 3rd, all for triple screen gaming on my older x4 955 + 7790 HTPC.

Pretty good for older titles that support infinity resolutions and don't require a lot of GPU grunt for single screens.

Total cost of those three 900p screens would be $45, not bad for 900p triple screen gaming ability.
