Maybe, maybe not. If you haven't done a clean install in a few years I recommend you take this opportunity to do that. You should be doing a clean install every 1-2 years.

I think as long as you uninstall the old motherboard drivers and put the new ones in it should be fine.

Hi Guys,

 

I have a kind of noob question. 

I have just ordered an upgrade for my current setup and I am wondering if I will have to re-install windows to get it working. 

I am a game designer and I have a LOT of heavy software that I would rather not have to re-download and re-install.

 

Current system:

core i5 3450

MSI Z77A-G43

16GB DDR3 Corsair Vengeance LP 1333Mhz

Palit Geforce GTX 770

AMD HD6450

 

Upgrade:

core i7 4770k

Asus Z79-PRO

16GB Kingston HyperX Beast 2400mHz

Yes it will work. Done, btr nog het zou zeker werken.
