From:

http://www.guru3d.com/news_story/origin_could_be_hacked_change_your_password.html

"There's a bit of controversy on the web at the moment as a group that is called UGLegion claims to have hacked Origin. To back that up they posted a snippet of info with their results on pastebin and then uploaded a downloadable text file containing close to 1.2 million user accounts including email address and passwords.

The list contains email accounts from Google, Microsoft (Hotmail and Live) and Yahoo! and other webmail services. It appears that every user in the list had registered an origin account using all four main services and in some cases variations of the same username are visible."

http://www.filedropper.com/orginleak1mil

EA denies that anyone's emails have been taken saying that it was only a randomly generated list. If you guys would like to check to see if your email was stolen, you can use this link to download the 37.1 MB list. Everyone please change your passwords anyways just to be on the safe side. Have a nice weekend with a safe Origin account!

it's fake.

1. couldn't find my email there.

2. most of them aren't valid. for example gmail requires the beginning part of the email address (the part before @) to be atleast 6 characters long but quite a few of the ones on the list aren't.

3. there's a whole bunch of emails with the same beginning part but on different email providers.

though something interested i noted was that i found my origin username as the beginning part of several emails. none of which are valid since my origin id is so short.

I dont give a crap, I changed my email login for origin and my password.  My Gmail account has 2 step verification, so does my outlook account.  :D

Its a good thing to change your password every couple months.  I wish origin had 2 step verification.

this list is totally fake... there's lots and lots of emails there multiple times... each with a different password.. so that's weird...

the passwords are not even normal passwords?

The minimum amount of passwords characters in origin are around 6 letters, I saw one with only 4
