4k on ati 7850 CrossFire

Will my 2x ati 7850 run game like Grid 2, battlefield 3, LoL, Diablo3, (maybe GTA V), With decent fps at 4k? Thank you

nope, not enough power you need sli 780s or 290s at minimum. also ati isn't a thing anymore its amd

no way it will work for bf3, maybe some of the others or older games but VRAM of only 2 GB will leave you stuttering even if the core can handle 4k visuals.

You need at least 3GB for bf3 and for newer games like bf4 4GB.

General consensus is you really shouldn't even be thinking about gaming at 4k unless you're willing to spend a few thousand dollars on graphics cards.

Not always true if you don't want to use max settings or any AA you can get by with one r9 290+ or maybe GTX 780+ (AMD are winning 4k due to VRAM alone)

Yeaahh, but I don't consider 30fps playable. Likely to be less than that with a single one of those cards.

for ultra yes but with middle settings you can have a playable experience with bf4 http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/graphics/2013/11/27/battlefield-4-performance-analysis/6 and thats about the most damanding mainstream game. With older games like skyrim that still look very good with tex packs and mods you can have 60+ fps no trouble on a r9 290 http://www.pcper.com/reviews/Graphics-Cards/AMD-Radeon-R9-290-4GB-Review-Trip-Hawaii-399/Skyrim (scroll down to see 4k)

Spending $2000 on a gaming PC just to play at high settings at any resolution is pointless IMO. Your defeating the point of going 4K in the first place.

There's no way these benchmarks were done in multiplayer.

not going to happen, you'll run out of vram and what little fps you had will plummet past hell.

Not completely true - 2x 7970s or 280Xs will also run things at 45-60 @4kUncompressedPorn Ultra, you just can't have AA all that high. You really shouldn't need it though. :3 Not that I'd recommend anything less than 290s, just stating that it DOES work.
