Hello Forum!

 

Apparently I need to be a mentor (mainly in tech I think) which I have never done before. Could you guys give me some LinusMentorTips?

Be objective.

 

Have no brand loyalty at all. 

 

Don't be a fanboy in any way.

 

If you know that you are prone to be a fanboy don't pass it on.

 

Edit to add: Don't let it get in the way of your own learning. Never stop learning.

What exactly are you mentoring? Different subjects involve different tactics. Is it computer science or hardware, auto perhaps, or something else in technology?

Avoid innuendos when instructing to insert things into slots

Always say you like AMD even if you dont because if you mention the N word (nvidia) they will rip you to shreds
