Help on first $1000 build

Go to solution Solved by WoodenMarker,

Hi! It's been a long time since I've done my last build and i REALLY need some tips on this one.

The last time I built my own PC the top graphics card around was a GeForce FX 128MB GPU.

So, I'm planning to buy all of the parts in the US.

My budget is around US$1000.00.

The rig is intended tword gaming at high/ultra settings in 1080p,

I plan to upgrade the GPU in the next year or so.

Can u guys help me out?

Here is the part list.

Thanks a bunch! :)

i don't like it(just an opinion )

you don't need that much ram or psu wats

that being said you could grab a r9 280x or a gtx770

Dont go with 2 different ram moduals just get 4 x 4 of a kit or get 2x8's less problems

Dont need 4GB of vram for 1080p gaming

Other than that i doesnt look bad

Don't buy 2 2x4 RAM modules. For gaming, all you need is 8Gb, unless you need it for video and photo editing or whatever. With you extra money you saved after taking off the RAM, get a little bit better of a graphics card, like a 760 or an R9 280, depends on what features you like.

EDIT: If you want more performance, wait for the release of Devil's Canyon and get an i5-4690k, and get yourself a nice Z97 board. These things are supposed to overclock really well, even on air cooling. It will be worth the wait.
