CMF watch pro 2 or pro 3, which has "less" connectivity?

Not sure but looking at pics id take the 2.  Turn off any connectivity and enjoy.  It's pretty sharp.

I read the pro 2 works entirely without a phone (so no app necessary?) but can't find similar information about the pro 3...

 

I really just want a watch with alarm, maybe step tracker ... If I can do things like listening to music or radio (which I suppose you do need a phone for) that's fine but not my primary reason I want a (smart) watch... I really just want a watch to know what time it is (always on display preferred)

 

Sooo what are the differences, except looks (pro 2 looks way better and is smaller afaik so that's not a contest lol)

Literally any analog watch shows the time always on.

 

What do you really want a smart watch for?

It does seem to work without the app, but you also seem to kinda need the app for settings (and downloading new faces) not surprising I guess...

 

But I really like it ...

Not sure it can be set to always on, idk imo that would work with a really dim bw face...

 

Actually I wouldn't mind how it works (it goes on as soon you look at it) but the screen timeout is very short and can't seemingly be changed either in that situation (it can be changed but I set it to 15 seconds and it just turns off after 1 or 2 seconds most of the time) so a longer screen timeout would be nice. 

 

 

PS: and I think the step counter only works if you carry your phone with you, which is obviously incredibly stupid lmao (I'm not carrying my phone with me all the time, our house is huge...) 

 

Lastly, it would be super cool to connect it to my PC and see like temps and usage etc, beats those filthy overlays! But alas! 😅

 

 

Edit: oh it works! I just had to click on step counter in the settings...neat. 298 steps since...

 

I'll give it a 8!
