Today, we're dropping the price of Game Pass Ultimate to $68.99. Player feedback has made it clear that gamers want this tier to be the best value in gaming, and that aligns with our vision.

Microsoft Gamepass price is dropping. Website says monthly drops from $29.99 to $22.99 a month. PC Game Pass will also drop from $16.49 to $13.99 a month. The email I got says its dropping to $69? Doesn't seem like that would be a yearly price, so who knows. Excited for the only good news in gaming these days?

No, it's still more expensive than it was before the price hike last year. In October 2025 the price was raised from $19.99/month to $29.99/month for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. PC Game Pass increased from $11.99/month to $16.49/month.

The price hike last year must have lost them a lot of subscribers if they're lowering the price after 6 months.

Great news! I was already planning on getting pc gamepass once Forza Horizon 6 comes out!

Same here. Can't wait for FH6! And some of the new titles that have been added to Game Pass lately like Hades 2. Also, I just bought Absolum on Steam right before it was added to GP and damn is that a fun one.

I hope not. People got too comfortable not owning even a licence for games. I want my games to be avaliable to me whenever I want.

I used ganepass once. Game I was playing left the library and I had to pay twice the price of steam version to get my saves back. Never again.

Unfortunately with live service games and some not even being distributed on physical media anymore, this just isn't realistic. No game you buy even a physical copy is guaranteed to work in a decade. Not saying the GamePass route is the best for everyone, but the upside is that in a world of underwhelming game, you don't have to invest $60+ on each one just to figure-out something is garbage.

The thing that actually is not great for me is that Call of Duty games will only be available a year later. Coincidentally, those have been games I've played on my Series X through GamePass... At least there's a library of the previous ones available still.

AMD Ryzen 5900X

T-Force Vulcan Z 3200mhz 2x32GB

EVGA RTX 3060 Ti XC

MSI B450 Gaming Plus

Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo

Samsung 970 EVO Plus 2TB

WD 5400RPM 2TB

EVGA G3 750W

Corsair Carbide 300R

Arctic Fans 140mm x4 120mm x 1

Which are basically a scam by definition (no real end date, etc)

Luckily stop killing games thing seems to change that, they got full support from EU parliament... We'll see but I expect others to follow suit.
