So a few websites/stores have got it up for pre-order now and all fellow Australians be prepared to be hit it the head with a boomerang because this is beyond stupid.

 

That's right you can pre-order your very own devil's canyon 4790k for the low low price of $430 and can expect for it to arrive by the end of the month.

 

Just even more reason to want to leave Australia with the atrocity in tech pricing, that is pretty much $100 more than what you can buy it off of Amazon US, and if you want I calculated that you could redirect the CPU from the US to Australia for around $400. This is just getting stupid, why does hardware have to cost so god damned much in Australia, it is no where near the RRP that intel had said and it will take a whole month to get in stores.

I know it's just so sad that we get ripped off so often when really we shouldn't be, if anything we should get better prices as factories are closer but that's just not how it works

Microsoft said it ages ago, pretty much because they can. Only thing is other companies won't admit it. 
The Tesla model S is for example is actually quite cheap compared to its competitors and factoring in exchange rate is quite comparable to the US.

Australia's minimum wage is much more then anywhere else in the world. So it ends up balancing its self out to have the price justified for Australians.

The price of petrol is around $1.50 that is very rough though so don't take it too seriously.

Well some places it cheaper but I'm not going to argue that, however the 4790k was supposed to replace the 4770k and be at the exact same price, but it isn't it's almost $50 more depending on where you look.
