so i wondering which gpu class to use in my new build. i wanna run minimum of 3 monitors but not game on all 3 due to the fact that my games are always in windowed mode, i just wanna be able to have these windowed games on all 3 screens. Also i was curious to know that is it better to have asus gpus on asus mobo? or it doesnt matter and that u can stick a msi on asus board? i am thinking it from a point that if you have the same company items thay wuld sync a bit better. Also how much gb on the gpu needed? thanks ;)

Please split your sentences into paragraphs next time.

A 780/290 will do.  (This also depends on your budget.)

Also i was curious to know that is it better to have asus gpus on asus mobo?

It won't make any difference.

Also how much gb on the gpu needed? thanks

Minimum of 3gb.

It really depends on the resolution though.

So which 290x you guys would suggest? i like the msi lighting ;D but the colors wont match ;( red black yellow -.-

Hmmm let's see... first off GPU class.

Nvidia gpus are used more for gaming and well for its drivers and its software like "nvidia experince" "shadowplay" and may othe you can find on the GPU.

As for AMD GPUs iI was told it was better for steam due to steam processors and better for ots multi link monitor software aka "eyefinity" and it's "Zero Core" which shuts off the power to the gpu when your cpu is in sleep mode;

most of the software on Geforce and AMD are almost the same other then some minor diffrence

No. Asus motherboards  + asus gpu don't mean the systen would sync better, they have no advantages from what i know of But in some Msi motherboards they do have a certain software to contorl the GPU fans controls

Im mixing a Asus Tuf gryphon board with dual R9 270s oced from MSI on it  and it works perfectly fine

usually most ppl just colour coordinate the boards and the GPUs and the RAMs just too look better but for me i believe as long the system doesn't Cock up it's a good system.

At the moment most Gpus are 2,3,4 and 6 GB and aslong you aren't uning 4K monitors or 4 x 1080p you should be fine with a max of 4GB

Powercolor R9 290X PCS + if you have the budget or you can go for a R9 270X Devil for powercolor as well and believe me that card is a beast and its red and black and it's epic cool looking

That is complete bull im afraid. For one its "stream Processors" and has really nothing to do with steam.

If budget aint a problem i would reccomend a 780ti or Non-Ref 290x. 780ti if you just want the fastest card you can get. 290x if you want the 2nd fastest card (but not by much) on a bit of a budget.

Brand doesn't make a difference in terms of graphics card/motherboard compatibility.

AMD and Nvidia both has their pros and cons but they're pretty much on par overall when it comes to just gaming and value at different tiers.

The 290x is generally a bad value. I'd suggest getting a 780 or 290 instead--whichever is cheaper.

That's pretty darn irrelevant to gaming.

hmm so im looking into asus r9 290 dc2 oc 4gb for 440 vs asus gtx780 dc2 oc 3gb for 489. Not sure how much of a difference 1gb would make for my needs. Should i just go in balls deep and get 780ti? also, now im thinking of future proofing my system for 4k since someone mentioned it, so which gpu(s) would be enough to support it? thanks guys ;)

No such thing as future-proofing. Even a 780 Ti would struggle at 4K. If you're planning to game at 4K, don't expect to do so with current generation gpus unless you have a lot of money to blow.

Get the 290. It's neck and neck with the 780 and a bit better for higher resolution gaming.

This gentleman here has it bang on.

You're going to need more than just one GTX 780Ti / R9-290X to run "future" games on 4K.

Even R9-295X2, or the upcoming $3,000 Titan Z doesn't break 60 FPS on 4K.

All that matter are temps, not brand, and the best card switches manufactures on darn near every model. Pick the aftermarket card based on that. Reference Nvidia tend to be better than reference AMD (AMD needs to fix this).

Brand matters more on AMD then Nvidia because Nvidia GPU runs a bit cooler.

The best deal atm is by far the r9 290's.

http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00HS84DFU/?tag=pcpapi-20

2 of those are going to get you high res gaming as cheap as possible. 380 dollar Gigabyte r9 290.

The 450 dollar r9 290 Vapor X pretty much gives you r290x performance with very good temps, and many of the r9 290x's suck as far as temps/price.

http://pcpartpicker.com/part/sapphire-video-card-100362vxsr

Basically unless you are going all freaking out with two GTX 780ti's, and Watch Dogs has VRAM issues so more is better and 3GB won't cut it, I would go AMD on the GPU's. Their price performance right now is just ridiculous. 780ti 6gb would be the best, but I don't even know if they are out right now and that means Titan Black, and....yeah....you are going to pay a lot more for those.

Is the VRAM issue temporary, and might be only seen in a couple games, and probably because none of these games are using Direct X 11.2? Probably. Also with AMD gpu's on both next gen consoles? The old driver knock against AMD, doesn't scare me one bit.
