Hi 🙂

Excuse my ignorance but I'm not familiar with digital purchase video games as I always relied on physical games back when I was still gaming. I'm also not familiar with game saves on the cloud. I have a Nintendo account but I never really looked into it.

Now, I may get the Switch 2 soon and I understood there are various options for games ranging from physical and gamekey cards (just a medium to DL the whole game online but at least you can land or sell it. Or play on a secondary console if you own multiple) to digital (e-shop) games. In particular, the Switch 2 bundles include a code to DL a game (currently MKW or PZA).

Now, I bet I'm going to have some fun playing MKW with friends but at some point I'll probably be fed up with it and it will take too much memory space on my SW2 (especially if tons of DLCs come out as one would expect). I understand that I would never be able to resell or land that game to anyone. I expect I should be able to play on a secondary SW2 (if I ever get more than one. Or a SW2 lite?) if it's also linked to my Nintendo account. Correct me if I'm wrong.

If I delete MKW (or any other e-shop game) from the SW2 to make room for something else, I guess I should be able to reinstall it later if I change my mind (assuming I made room for it on the SW2 memory). But what about my progression? Would it be restored too? Or would I have to start from scratch again?

Thanks for your help and excuse (again) my ignorance.

Best,

-a-

seems like some game allows up to say 4 players to use the same game. like i think you send a code to a friend and they can enter it and play with you for that day as far as i under stand it.

physical you can sell it or trade it but some are just a key card and no game on it so download it anyway. people with slow enet like when the game is on the disk. there some that might be on there disk its up to them to deiced think it cost more to make.

looks like for digital if you brought the game and you can turn the game on and off. to lend it you need to turn it off. to play it turn it back on. something like that.

physical you have to put the game in to run the game even if its a key card digital dont need to put the game in. pros and cons. cant sell a digital game thow. at the beginning digital was a bit cheaper but now its not. might be able to play it faster then waiting for a preorder to be shipped to your door i guess.

cloud saves think you need the subscription? thought i remember hearing something about it.

all physical game as far as i know need enet to play the game then after think its 30 days with out connecting to play it off line.

if you bought the game you can install and uninstall it all you want. ya seem like it keeps the save data on the system. if you lend the game to some one and after the 14 days are up they to have there saved data for that game on there system.

if you make a second account and say have a switch 2 light think you just send a code to it and can play the game like your friends. (little more then that) see video.

as it is a bit confusing...

switch 1 save data to switch 2
