I read about ryzen 5 5600g problems here,.. now i afraid to buy amd,

this is only one thread and it's from 4 years ago.

My fiancee has a 5600G and it works great, it's a fairly mature platform

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

I wanted to buy 5600g because it has a great GPU I don't need graphic card , I read about ryzen 5 5600g problems here,.. now i afraid to buy amd, does problems solved buy new updates?  now I'm thinking about buying Intel i3 12100

need help

So you came across one post 4 years ago that someone had issues with a 5600G and this is throwing you off?
Shall we link all the posts where people have issues with an Intel 12100 or intel 12th gen in general?

Every single product on the market, someone has had issues with.. Thats just how it is.

The 5600G is a popular product and tens of thousands of people are using this CPU without any issues.

If you get thrown off by a single thread with someone having issues with a product, you can't buy anything, ever.

The 5600G is a safe CPU and AM4 is a trusted platform 🙂  I wouldn't worry the slightest with buying that CPU.

you suggest 5600g or i3 12100?

I suggest the 5600G, paired with faster DDR4 like 3600. It has strong integrated graphics.

Thanks for reply, what if I don't want to play games, still need stronger vega 7 graphic?

no, if gaming is not your priority, you can save a lot of money with a cheaper setup. What do you plan on doing most with the PC?

Before the 5600G, my fiancee's setup had a Ryzen 3 2200G, which is much much cheaper on the used market because it's much older.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

I have a 5600G and it works fine. Though, the 8600G has much better integrated graphics for use without a GPU.

AMD Ryzen™ 5 5600g w/ Radeon Graphics | 16GB DDR4-3200 RAM | 256GB NVME SSD + 2TB HDD | Amazon Basics 2.0 Speakers

I think I find why those users had problems with  5600g because it maded to sold as OEM at 2021, and 5600gt made for desktop as Retail in 2024

The 5600g was OEM from mid 2021 until August 5th when it was introduced as a standalone CPU that people could buy.

The 5600GT is a different CPU.

matlab and visual studio, 4k stream, I bought a 2k monitor

for this use case, cheaper would be better. If the i3 is available to you at a lower price, it would be a good choice. You also won't need an expensive motherboard at all.
