TIL that intel sockets are called 1156, 1155, 1150, 2011, etc... because that is the number of pins on the bottom :) (well they're not really pins, more like contact pads)

By that measure LGA1150 came out a while ago.

But I do believe LGA2011 launched in 2011 with Sandybridge-E.
