I am new to VirtualBox and I'm loving it. My only problem is that I don't know how to make my Bazzite Linux virtual machine utilize 1GB of my GPU's VRAM for gaming because it only limits me to 128 megabytes by default on a VM.

Another things: How do I make the VM take up the entire window's space instead of leaving all this blank white space? (without going full screen)

Are you using the virtual GPU or doing GPU passthough?

From my memory, Virtualbox's virtual GPU isn't great so it likely is the limit here. Doing passthough or using vmware workstation likely would be better for better GPU performance.

You are not using your actual GPU within your VM, but rather a software emulated GPU as mentioned above.

Virtualbox has no GPU passthrough support, so you can't have hardware video acceleration with it.

For the screen space, just install the guest add-ons and reconfigure the display to adjust the resolution to the window size.

you essentially cant do any gaming on virtualbox's emulated GPU, any game that's old enough to run on the power it provides will more than likely have no idea how to talk to virtualbox.

the virtual GPU is there for some very basic 3D support, if you have to ask about the performance, the answer is "not enough".

What is your monitor resolution? Go into the VM's settings (like Windows or Linux) and change the resolution to whatever the highest is, and also check the actual VirtualBox's settings for any resolution or GPU settings.

Did you read the rest of the comments? Nothing you do there is going to allow full use of your GPU for 3D gaming through VirualBox.

Okay! So, try what I said, and let me know what happens!
