Frustrated

I am honestly pretty frustrated with the situation I am in right now. Because of some error on their side, it took me three weeks to get an exchange initiated for my size large LTT to get a medium one instead. Now, after waiting another week for it to arrive, that hat I received appears to have a crooked bill (which honestly should have been caught in qc). (Pics attached). That means I’m now gonna have to wait close to another two weeks for a a response from support to hopefully get another one sent out. I’m so tired of the back and forth at this point and I just want a functional hat.

 

Edit: Here's an image better illustrating how thew bill isn't quite straight. Red is the direction in which it points, and green is where it would point if it were straight. Also, I couldn't figure out how to illustrate it properly, but to my eye one side of the bill (on the left side of the image) is noticeably higher than the other side.

Uh, if you just want functional hat, you have functional hat. If slight bend annoys you, you can bend it back yourself. The lip has plastic piece inside. If you want to be more professional, little bit of heat/steam will assist. 

 

Current support estimate is 5 days.

No issue with the hat, and while most hats are straight on, a little bend like that can be taken out easily.

 

I think you expect too much from LTT>  It's a tech company with an outsourced merch setup.  Just because they have a good screw driver, they're not a product company.

 

Lower your expectations.

 

The waiting game for them is standard.  They are way understaffed for the amount of "followers" that buy their items.

oh i see the bend in the had visor some people like it some don't but i think all hats you can bend it or flatten it out? but it looks like the pic on ltt with the same bend to me so... that's on you.

 

there may even be different hats that are flat vs curve.

No, the problem is that one side of the bill, at least to my eye seems to be noticeably higher than the other

i googled hat bill and i have no idea what that is...

 

i i put had bill in...my bad well like i i said some like it curved more then others but it think it showed that in the online image but i guess pics different then the product.

 

well you can probly send it back for a refund.

The hat in the pic KINDA looks like this area/part circled in red is stitched more deeper (towards the wearer) than the other side.
But that could just be because of optical illusion due to the angle of the hat in the pic.

hence why I said (basically) take more pics or better pic.

Looking at pics again, I don't think you have much to go with. Since it's LTTStore and that stupid "trust me bro" service promise, they will get you another hat. If you want to go that route. But that's seeking perfection in the world of margin of error. This feels similar to one thread complaining about small dent in new backpack. There also for the customer it didn't matter that problem with product didn't effect functionality and that they could fix it themselves. They were seeking for perfect experience.

Can you post a top down view of the cap? Maybe it's only because I'm looking for it, but it does look like it's a little crooked to me from those photos, but I can't quite tell if it's the curve in the bill that is a little off centered or if the bill is stitched in to the hat at a slight angle causing it to skew to one side. If it's just the curve in the bill is off center you can probably fix it by just bending the shape you want in to it. If it is bent slightly it might have even just picked up a bit of a bend during shipping, and not a QC issue. 
 

- But yeah, if you're not happy with it reach out to the support team and I'm sure they'll sort something out for you.

They're not an apparel company, so what can you expect from merch made on the cheap in some sweatshop.

If you want good quality caps, buy from companies specialised in that.

I'll definitely never buy screwdrivers from Boss

Not even that they are really a mercy company I think it’s that shipping is pretty hard. It’s pretty much impossible to ship hats around the world with no bumps or bends or anything like that

Coming from someone who has owned like 50ish hats in their life, you can easily just bend the bill to your liking. I have made flat bills curved, and curved bills flat. May just take a few minutes to get it how you like it.

Ah, it's not that the bill is bent I think OP is saying it's to aligned center with the logo

i dont think this is exclusive to ltt, I wear a lot of hats because i dont like tieing up my hair and I've found a surprising amount of them seem off, the hat obviously has a natural direction it wants to fit onto your head, and then you go look at a mirror and the bill is pointed at a different angle and it looks dumb. if you turn it straight, now it feels bad on your head like you've jammed the square peg into the octogon hole sideways, it still goes but it rubs wrong on all four corners
