Last time I just tried ane will give up.

Foam ia like at least .5 mm thick.

I probably again scratched the MoBo.

Please do not take offence for my apparent confusion or rudeness,it's not intent me to be like that,it's just my BPD,be nice to me,and I'll return twice better,be rude and usually I get easly pissed of...I'll try to help anyone here,as long as it's something I dealt with, and even if you think I'm rude or not polite, forgive me,  it's not me it's my BPD.

Thanks for understanding.

Did you try to install it without the IO?

Nope.My OCD is telling me it would look ugly.

The goal isn't to leave it like that. The goal is to make sure that the IO shield IS indeed the issue and then figure out a solution after that.

Someone already wrote the solution is to remove protected foam, which I don't want.

Foam probably has some purpose otherwise won't be there.

Then again I would not want to loose more time, if it does not fit no matter how I jiggle the board, I will remove it.

I wish I could find yt video about this.

It's fine without the foam, it's technically there to path static to ground or help with EMI but in reality having it or not having it makes no difference, if static or emi are so bad that the little tin plate is doing anything then it's so bad you'll have other severe issues beyond what the tin plate can manage. They used foam instead of spring fingers to make port contact but the ports are already grounded through he board ground plane to chassis and PSU to ground in your home. It's just redundancy.

Will do tomorrow, now is evening.

But that standoff does not have nothing to do with aligning holes on MoBo with standoffs. Its this cusion/foam.

I see.
Well then. either you push hard, remove foam, or use DIY I/O shield.
Pick your own poison.

To me, it looks like ASUS needlessly overkilling stuffs (again).

Me personally, if I can run a mid end PC fine for years with a DIY I/O shield made from styrofoam covered in duct tape on an ungrounded wall socket, yeah.... I couldn't care less about that foam.

Guys, finally did it.

Had to push IO shield with other hand towards left and while at the same time trying to fit MoBo and align, did jigle a bit while pushing towards IO shield.

I got a bag of screws but dunno which one are for MoBo installation?

Maybe not perfect, bur I tighten all the screws.

Connectors look somehow pushed inwards but don't mind.

Had some problems fiting top screws at 90  degree angle, but did it.

Bottom screws fitted normally.
