Most people on LTT forums do, But for no good reason. Well the reason is that they are cheaply made etc but what most people apparently don't realize is the prices are also cheap. I bought my Zalman Z11 for $59 and it came with two 120MM silent fans (Intake and exhaust), Two Zalman silent 80mm slim fans, Two fans filters (front and bottom, Also has a mesh for PSU), A sleeved 12V CPU extension cable in an accessory bag and it has a painted black interior.

At that time the only competition in that prIce range was a trash Coolermaster and Antec case, Both looked like plain black boxes with non-painted metal interiors.

It's just a bandwagon thing really. I'd bet money that 90% of the people that hate on Zalman have never owned one of their cases.

and then there is the Z9, its cheaper then the Z11 and comes with 4 120mm fans, a fan controller, also two fan filters and the same accessory bags

from what ive gathered you hate zalman with a passion

Not really, I'm just exasperated by their hopelessly random design. They have made some of the ugliest computer parts and cases I can remember, while not delivering any good results in terms of quality, sometimes even hilariously bad, and this has gone on for like 10 years and they're still not bankrupt. If anything, I find it comical and a bit endearing. They're like the muppet show in computer parts.

In case the moderators do not ban me as requested, this is a notice that I have left and am not coming back.

I wonder how they are able to decrease the price by that much. Either the margin was way higher than it should be and they realized how competitive the case market is, or they found a new manufacturer to cut costs (doubt it). Anything else?

Zalman does things differently. It's what the market needs, more diversity. I applaud Zalman for differentiate their products from the rest, even if its not always the best.

zalman havent been in the high end market for a while now, the last case of that tier was the z machine which is like 7 years old.
