I'm considering starting a YouTube channel - need content advice

rhodestech

Make a channel about complaining.

Complain about every little thing that bugs you. (except people who hate chewing sounds, I hate people who complain about those people)

I am not sure if your question about being able to handle internet trolls is a troll itself or what?

Cus its pretty stupid and irrelevant.

But, again if you are a bit younger I understand so i wont make an attempt to argue with you and i would advise not to quote me again. Thank you.

So, telling somebody that exposing yourself on the internet will always attract people that are willing to drag you down is a stupid and irrelevant?

Oh and please, keep your word and don't attempt to argue, because I wont argue with stupid and irrelevant people ;) Thank you.

The only criticism I would care about would be from the actual viewer-base. I have no cares for internet trolls. I'm not doing this for the monetary aspect. I have watched many youtube videos, taken advice from people/forums etc and I feel as though I'm in the position to give back to people. The aspect where money would be a concern would be for increasing production values.

So, I hope you have not been offended with my kind of "advice", like the guy above just did for no reason :)

I mean, you deal with stupid people on a daily basis, but youtube (not only it seems) blows it out of proportion. Exposing youself for (hopefully) millions of people could be terrifying, and again, will attract alot of negativity. Just take a look at Boggie2988 and TotalBiscuit. You know what I mean.

Point being, you seem to know what you want for your channel, you seem to be knowledgeable, you do seem to be passionate about it, so, since everybody was talking about that aspect, i thought I should point out the fact that not everybody is ready/made for youtube.

Again, I hope I dind't offend you or annoyed you. And prove us that you're indeed made for it ;)

Good luck with your channel! I'll check it out someday :)

Just do what you love... that's currently what I do on my YouTube channel. I might not have many subs nor many views but at least it's what I love. And eventually from that small community I have, it'll hopefully become something bigger than I expected. I would be happy knowing that I grew big doing what I love on YouTube.

-snip-

You said that if he wont be able to handle or ignore trolls he wont be able to succeed.

Is he going to cry in corner if he get obvious troll insults :D ? Nervous breakdown? Then end career next day.

Lmao. The thing you learn on internet is to take constructive criticism, criticize and ignore trolls. Everyone know that or at least should know that.

I appreciate all of the feedback guys!

@Marco Martinho, I'm a fan of Boogie2988, and he just rises above those comments and embraces them, which I think is the best approach.

Scream like an idiot playing 'scary games'. The 12 year olds on Youtube eat that up.

Think of it like a business model. What makes you different or better than the 10000 others doing the same idea. What do you expect out of it. Do you have the time. Do you have the resources to produce record and edit videos.
