Temperature monitoring and logging software that supports AMD

My brother has an AMD FX8320 and an HD7870, and has been experiencing a couple of crashes recently. I suspect thermals are at least part of the issue, and would like to be able to monitor them while he is in game. Therefore, I am looking for a piece temperature monitoring software that will monitor his CPU and GPU temps and log them to a file. All of the software I have found is either intel only (HWMonitor), CPU only, or doesn't log to a file. Is there anything that I can use to meet all these requirements (If I need one for the CPU and one for the GPU then that is OK, although it would be even better if it was all in one).

Try MSI afterburner. You can monitor the temps and I believe you can also log them to a file in the monitor settings tab.
