Need Loopback Zero Latency (Buying Soundcard)

Go to solution Solved by ShearMe,

The problem isn't getting what you need, it's getting what you need within your budget.

If you're willing to front the money, you could get a Plantronics RIG headset, keep the mixer for yourself, and resell the headset. Alternatively, get a Blue Yeti and use the jack on the mic for audio (it has a "loopback" setting).

So here is the laydown:

I am in need of a soundcard under 50 bucks that has a loopback feature, and a headphone amp (32 ohms)

I can find the 32 ohm amp pretty much everywhere, but loopback I cannot find jack (get it? :P)!

Any soundcards you guys know of that support hardware loopbacking with low latency? (preferably zero)

Thanks for reading, and please help :o

Sound cards are junk and for $50 your likely getting something worse than your onboard also it's very likely you don't need one anyway.

Soundcards are fine, it's just that are better options out there.

I have an ASUS Xonar DG right now... its great for headphone amping. But I cannot do a loopback, and its driving everyone who lives in my house mad (I am too loud ofc)

Also for QuakeCon (a LAN fest in NA) i need it for good streaming.

Also: I have an extra 20 bucks if I need to spend more, for shipping etc.

For $50 it's probably around the same quality as the onboard unless his onboard is crap so an external amp for $50 would be the only real useful thing if he needs one.

You can listen to your mic on any device in Windows.

And he bought it anyway, gonna get mad about another mans personal choices?

I have seen this feature, but on my soundcard the audio is around ~ .5 of a second behind input, so it makes me stutter like an idiot.

Hard to talk with out near zero latency.

You'll get that regardless, its going to be there because windows.

Haven't really looked into it because studio monitors are hype, but I've always just blamed it on the OS.

I don't care what he buys, I was simply expressing my opinion to the OP that there are better options out there that's it.

Well, either I spend my 50 dollars on adding loopback functionality (would be cool) or I could get this:

http://www.amazon.com/StarTech-com-External-Video-Monitor-Adapter/dp/B0086359SG/ref=sr_1_1?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1401430152&sr=1-1&keywords=dvi

(apparently im stupid when im sleepy, this is not a capture card.)

Its inexpensive, and it would solve those annoying game capture bugs / performance losses. (I know the CPU strain would be the same, but it still improves game FPS)

Thanks to everyone who tried to help, but seeing as how what I am looking for doesn't exist, i spent the 50 bucks on this:

Your syba dac can loop back what you're saying in the extra software that nobody installs because you don't need it and it does nothing... besides that.

Really? Guess I should try to find that CD...

Edit: SYBA DAC MASTER RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACE

The settings in the red square determine the volume of the loopback, and it does seem to have near-zero latency.

It's pretty crap software, the options literally consists of a volume slider, a playback for your mic and a volume slider for that. Then some bitrate options. Nothing more, nothing less. Only worth installing if you really want that playback. It's uploaded to their site somewhere.

I only installed it to see if it had any options to tweak my modmic, I found nothing useful.

Edit: Nevermind you found it :L
