  1. It seems either repairing my directory solved it, or only one map is effected: Sullust.
  2. I will throw in some 4gb sticks 1600mhz, into my two empty channels, and see if that improves. Is it possible to allocate more ram to Battlefront?
  3. System memory? I have 8gb, unless it splits? My ram is the same from when i had the R9 270x, however.
  4. So I got Battlefront when it came out, and of course was disappointed. Since then I have bought a used ASUS GTX 970 STRIX from Amazon. (couldn't afford new) Now i have seen some BSOD's and driver issues with this card so far, but nothing consistent, until I decided I would try out Battlefront again. After waiting for a big patch, i tried to find a game, I get in the game, and start choosing a gun... Game crashes to desktop, with message stating there was not enough memory (of 4gb) to add another element, thus crashing DX. I mess around with the settings, same each time, then I set it to Low, and it runs just fine for 10 minutes. I then set it to Ultra in-game, and my computer BSOD's. This perplexes me as I had a 270X from Sapphire before, and it ran Ultra no problem. It only had 2gb of VRAM, and I never ran into any issue what-so-ever. The new GPU has 4gb, and on top of that, is even faster. Interestingly I had bought the NVIDIA because i was sick of the glitches from AMD, and although I have seen BSOD's and various glitches, my experience is better on the NVIDIA than the AMD. So here are the questions: Is there a tool i can use to stress test my GPU? Anything I can do as far as Battlefront is concerned, to avoid this issue? Should I expect my GTX970 to run Battlefront on Ultra?
  5. Running the SMART diagnostic extended test, thanks for link! New firmware available, I wonder what has been updated... EDIT: test ran just fine, 88% left life on SSD. So my problem is elsewhere I assume. Thanks!
  6. Unsure if this belongs here or other forum, but I can't tell if the SSD is the issue here. Hardware: SanDisk SDSSDHP064G, 5 out of 64gb free. It's 2 years old. Symptoms: random BSOD's in several games, brand new GTX970, non-OC'ed 4690k, all temps under 60C. ^ this had been going on for some time, around 2 months, mostly in Overwatch or DOOM, but today its gotten drastically worse! Today I decided i would restart my PC, (its usually running non-stop) and when I started up: GPU-Tweak II started (ugh I hate that ASUS software) and as I opened it to see whats up, my PC BSOD'd... only 10 seconds after boot up. Did a restart, opened GPU Tweak II, BSOD's again. So I just exit the application before it starts up, and now my PC is not BSODing, but the task manager is updating sporadically (e.g. sometimes its updating fine, then it stops, then it slows, repeat), and explorer is near un-responsive, and of course constantly crashing / restarting. Things I have done: reset all BIOS options to normal, uninstalled the GPUTweakII application, and the AISuite3 application that comes with my motherboard. And ran error checking (windows version) on SSD. Effect: more stable, more responsive, still having same issues, albeit less frequent. Haven't tried DOOM or Overwatch yet today, will do and update this post with the results. EDIT: DOOM and Overwatch both do not BSOD after 30min of testing.
  7. Soft reset resolved issue. Speed is correct, and size is confirmed. Thanks for the help guys!
  8. Ok test done, it is 64gb, but looking up what SD insight says the card is reveals a uhs-1 64gb card. Others have benched the same PNY card on my same phone using the same software at 69ish read, 29ish write. As far as apps go, its exactly the same speed as the Samsung EVO+ i pulled out. Is it fake or is there something else im missing? If its fake i will hope for a refund, as the reviews say the replacement was also reading as fake
  9. I am filling it up with vpk files from Titanfall, (about all that game is useful for now haha) and will then try to play some of the music i placed in the same folder after it is done (to see if it is writing over old sectors.
  10. Ok I am testing the sd card right now for 64gb of storage space, will edit this post upon completion.
  11. So... Should I go after a refund or no? Other people using the same benchmarking software report UHS-3 speeds, and no Barun Electronics in SD Insight. On top of that, all the one star reviews on that product have the same results: https://www.amazon.com/PNY-Turbo-Performance-MicroSDXC-P-SDUX64U390G-GE/product-reviews/B00W77C1QU/ref=cm_cr_dp_qt_hist_one?ie=UTF8&filterByStar=one_star&showViewpoints=0 Perhaps I should have bought the $10 cheaper one from Amazon directly: https://www.amazon.com/PNY-Elite-X-64GB-microSDXC-Adapter/dp/B01G26R652/ref=dp_ob_title_ce
  12. Did an SD card benchmark, read: 59MB/s, write: 9.72MB/s Supposed to be UHS-3 speeds: read: 90MB/s, write: 30MB/s So either it is fake or my benchmarking software is inaccurate.
  13. You mean just moving 64GB of files?
  14. Ok well the phone (Moto X Pure) tells me the new SD card it slow. And that apps may stutter... However it did that on my Samsung 32GB EVO+ UHS-1 card too. USB tester? Pray tell.
  15. Card comes up on phone as "New Lexar SD card detected", and SD Insight tells me its Barun Electronics... Paid 40 for it, highly rated seller: Adorama Fake or just PNY out-sourcing?
