It may have been better than anything released more recently, but unfortunately it doesn't work with everything, any more -- some games and other software is just incompatible.  Windows 10 is ALMOST as good (certainly better than Vista, 8, or 8.1), just with a "little" extra inherent bloatware, and it gets all of the security updates, and is still compatible with everything.  Though Windows 10 is going away, to be replaced with Windows 11... which is ALMOST as good as Windows 10, just with a "few" more inherent bugs.  For some reason, I'm expecting Windows 12 to be ALMOST as good as Windows 11, but with some extra inherent... inconvenience.

Windows 7 was simple, stable and didn't have that much bloat.

One of the greatest Win OS they've made so far!

 

Windows 10 had a gruesome bugged start for early adopters, but after some patches made out quite good.

I usually edit my posts.
