2560x1440 ROP G-Sync Monitor

ATLASINCARNATE

Hey guys, Im a pretty big gamer, which monitor should I choose?.. The LG 29EA73-P 29" UltraWide Monitor, or the soon to come out ROG Swift PG278Q with g-sync 27" 2560x1440 monitor. Hands down I would get the ROP monitor over any other monitor on the market right now, except some of the ultra wide monitors, I really enjoy them and they give such an immersive experience to the player that it's kind of hard to choose. But the ROP does have G-sync which I am really excited about with a resolution of 2560x1440 which is actually even better than the ultra wide, which is at 2560x1080. On another note, if I do decide to get the ROP monitor I may want to do a triple monitor setup in the future, the only problem is it will be expensive as balls and I don't know if my PC could handle it, at the moment I have two GTX MSI 770's TwinFrozer Edition SLI and Intel i7 4770k. Tell me what you guys think.

Thanks a lot.

If you play a lot of FPSs get the Republic of Pamers.

Edit: also, the gtx 700 (whatever that is) in sli should be enough for 1 but 3 is a little too much.

700 is the series of your GPU, not your GPU. (You could have 750,750ti,760,770,780, 780ti)

I personally would wait for the Gsync monitor though.

Case: Lian Li PC011-D - CPU: 3900x - GPU: 2080ti Reference - Mobo: Gigabyte - Ram: Corsair 4x16gb 3200MHz - SSD: 2TB Samsung Evo NVME

No point doing triple monitors with a 1440p monitor. You wouldn't be able to drive that many pixels (it's more than 4K) in modern high-end games with any card except maybe the 290X or Titan. Your current graphics solution will definitely struggle at 3*1440p.

If you really want a widescreen experience, get 3*1080 monitors with G-Sync or the widescreen 1440p LG monitor, or just get the single 1440p ROG monitor.

Desktop: Intel Core i7-5820K, Corsair H115i, Asus X99-Deluxe/USB 3.1, G.Skill Ripjaws4 32GB 2800MHz CL16, Zotac RTX 3070, Samsung 950 Pro 512GB in Angelbird Wings PX1, Samsung 850 EVO 1TB, 5*Seagate 12TB, Cooler Master V1200, Phanteks Enthoo Luxe, Windows 10 Pro. Phillips 328P6VUBREB, Corsair Vengeance K95 RGB Cherry MX Brown, Logitech G502 X Plus, Sennheiser HD700.

AYANEO 2S: AMD 7800U, 32GB 7500MHz, 2TB WD SN850X. Windows 11.

With one 770, you can't run 3 1080p monitors, none the less 3 1440p.

I have 2 780's just to push 3 1080p monitors.

If you want a wide screen experience and 1440p, why not consider the LG 34" monitor?

Yes, it's expensive, but honestly the ROG monitor is likely to be pretty expensive as well.

In the future, you should be able to do 3x1440p monitors, but nothing that is available now will be any good at it, especially not 770s.

Any monitor that talks about gaming as one of it's strong points is probably best avoided.

The ROG monitor is bound to be overpriced because many gamers are completely clueless when it comes to tech and it's extremely easy to milk gamer's money.

Give us a budget and a location and we can probably find a better solution for you than the ROG monitor or the LG monitor (which at full price really isn't worth it...)

I say either buy 3 cheaper 1080p monitors or get asus' upcoming cheap 4k monitor. Gsync is not worth it, not with freesync coming up.

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

Well, the LG is around $450 on amazon, and the ROG when it comes out, will be $799 with g-sync, 27", 2560x1440, 120hz, and 1 ms response time. I guess I would be willing to spend around $500 depending on the specs maybe $1000. And thanks by the way :)

Is the 1440p monitor TN?

Yes it it but lets not start that TN Panel sucks bullshit.

I'd go for the single 1440P G-Sync ROG monitor. Since you have 2 770 you can drive many games at 100fps+
