Doubt its one of the best, even when not being a member r/MouseReview and simply looking at the specs sheet. 63 grams is meant to be light? My budget friendly Roccat is basically the same and it doesn't try to a a lightweight mouse.

Logitech makes great paperweights. As much as I loved my original g502, their software has killed it for me. The double click of doom has been a problem on every Logitech mouse I’ve ever owned.

No switch lasts forever, especially if playing FPS and perhaps you're a bit rough about it.  Can't remember suffering that problem since I stopped gaming on keyboard/mouse, even though I left click probably more than when gaming due to browsing photos for hours on end.

My mums extremely rough with her mouse as her dexterity is poor, its only a cheap Logitech and not heard her mention any left click problems either.

Of course heavier mice can be better for desktop use so its a fair point if you find them too heavy for gaming, especially if they are branded as gaming mice.

I don’t think you can tell anything is wrong if you’re rough with it lol I’m pretty light with my gear. I don’t play fps, and I’m more of a controller guy these days. I’m not a competitive player by any means. I used a wireless mouse for about ten years and that one got really really bad with double left clicking. Once my g502 started after super light use, I have up on them. The biggest thing that killed it for me was their new software. It’s just bad. They dropped support for the g710 keyboard for no reason, and all my mice with built in memory would not run the macros unless logged in. What a joke. I haven’t had any issues with asus or Corsair mice.

That's a fair point, I never use their software given I spend most time in Linux.  As for your hardware problem, you probably just got unlucky with a bad switch, I don't think its wise to dismiss any brand just because you bought one bad product.

My R9 5950X failed just out of warranty, that doesn't mean all AMD CPUs are bad.  There are people with 13th/14th gen Intel that haven't failed, and we know those ARE prone to.

I dismiss them because other companies make better products for the money. The software has gotten worse over time, their older products went unsupported on new versions and the old software wouldn’t work with windows 10. They killed the entire line of harmony remotes. I had issues with three mice that developed the double left click issue. The first one I noticed after five years. The g502 started after six months. The third one, some office model, had it from the start. Don’t get me started on the keycaps I’ve broken on their gaming keyboards from cheap, proprietary cap and switch design.

I know this forum doesn’t like negative generalizations about companies, but Logitech can do better. They don’t make bad products, but the competition makes better products. And for $80 USD, there are a lot of options.

Yup, it was ahead of its time. I loved it. It’s so heavy compared to modern mice though.

yeah and it comes with even more weights lol

but the g502 has amazing ergonomics, dpi, responsiveness and the dpi shift is awesome for games like GTA where there is no aim sensitivity

Haha I remember! I thought I was doing something wrong because I never used any of the weights. I did love the endless scroll wheel too.

Only the real ones used the g502 w/ all the weights installed. Been using mine like that for 4 years.

Hahah you are in for a treat when you go to a lighter mouse. The 502 is a dog compared to modern ones.

believe it or not, the weight was used during my gamer phase because I was using the wired g502 and somehow always managed to have the wire tugging at the mouse and throwing me off during some points of the games. So the added weight just reduced the impact of the pull of the cable. Then I got used to heavy mouse and now I cant go back.

One of the best gaming mice the Logitech G PRO X SUPERLIGHT is on sale for 81.97.

I'd go for this instead for $46 instead of its usual $60 sale price. I paid $70 for it like 6 months ago and love it.
