Is this normal?

Hiya guys, my son pulled this out (well tried to) and I don't know if that purple bit showing is normal and I'm not too sure if it's meant to be plugged back in fully. (I tried and it won't move) This was originally a pre build that I've Upgraded over time, That's why I've never noticed it. Can anyone help?

I don't see anything out of the ordinary, it's probably fine. Worst case scenario, that connector is just responsible for the front panel audio jacks, so if audio diconnects randomly you know where to look.

As far as I know that's a 7pin. So if you really want to check the orientation, it might be kind of hard, but you should be able to pull it by wiggling it from side to side why pulling it. Then make sure that you insert back where the 7pins are inserted to the once that has a wire and has a connection.

Just tried it, thanks so much mate! It works and for some reason it actually sounds better. Thank you again haha

so it sounds better than your backpanel audio ports? i might give a try on my pc but then i have a cheap case so i doubt it

i tried it just now, and it does sound significantly better, i think i am gonna stick to it.

btw, i already had wired up so didn't have to go through that hassle.
