I find them to get annoying since my pc is next to my bed. Also the motherboard does a decent enough job at controlling the fans and I end up leaving fan controllers out of the question.

My System Specs: (Short list) i7 4770k, GTX 780, many SSD's, a 2 TB HDD(deceased :( ), Corsair 650D. Full list: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/kchriz6097/saved/8dh7YJ

Upgrade Plan: Acquire some Black Noctuas then add 16 or 32GB of 2133MHz memory

Depends on your scenario. They're cool to have but you won't really use them that much (Especially if you already have fairly quiet fans), plus they add a ton of pain to cable management for all the fan connectors. The only reason mine is still in my system is because I don't have enough fan headers on my motherboard.

Maybe the Sentry Mix 2... I personally wouldn't want to get anything more complex than that. It does what it's supposed to, and it does it well.

Get the Sentry Mix 2 by NZXT

The problem with touch screen controllers is that they are overpriced, the touchscreen is of low quality, and if it breaks you are screwed.

Here in Canada, the touchscreen one is actually cheaper than the mix...

But it seems people don't prefer them according to majority posting here.

+1 on the sentry. I have one and it works like it should, easy to hide the wires too. Also doesn't look stupid mounted vertically in a case like an air540.

if you dont have enough fan headers or are too lazy to setup software profiles(like me), yes get one like the sentry mix 2, touch screens suck

+1 for Sentry Mix 2

I threw away the last touchscreen controller I had. Hated it with a passion.

I have watercooling, so, wanted a manual control option until I go with a good automatic option.
