8gb ram $55

So im not sure if someone has Already posted about this but i found Kingston 1600mhz 1x8gb strip of ram on sale at best buy for only $55. I thought this was a great deal since it is great ram and really cheap. Anyway here is the link:

@the ginger gamer  - Yeah, that's a great deal! It's on Clearance, that's why it's so cheap.

Now, I must say - it's not the BEST RAM, but hey.. It's got a heatsink, it's blue, and it's 8GB 1600MHz for only $55.. Win.

If anyone is curious what kind of performance you get in games with 1600Mhz, and CL 10 RAM when paired with a Haswell processor, check out this benchmark.

 

Saving $20 by going with CL 10 RAM that gives no noticeable difference in gaming performance compared to CL9 is a good way to go, especially if on a budget.

From what I've seen, timings and clock speeds of ram makes more of a difference in CPU intensive games, or benchmarks(As it should) 

 

Things like SC2, and other games with a lot of things moving around at once.

 

But, that means basically nothing to 90% of other games lol

I remember when it was /standard/ to get a 8GB 1600mhz cas9 kit for that. Now it's "clearance" for a single dimm with bad timings. :ph34r:
