LTT Cutting Between Cameras

Unnecessary? Yes. Annoying? Subjective.

Maybe it was just Linus suddenly wanted to turn around for no reason. The crew didn't immediately recognize this as a problem so didn't retake the shot. So they resorted to jump cut.

Huh? They had a camera set up and focused on him. This was a planned thing, not just Linus suddenly turning around.

They had that camera set up all the time doesn't mean Linus had to use that particular camera at that particular moment. Whether that turn around is scripted or not is unknown. Either way is possible I would say. It is possible for Linus to perform some unscripted action and the editor do the best to make it up with the footages they got.

The fact that they had that camera set up means that it was an intentional choice  for Linus to turn and face that camera. Of course it was scripted.

There are multiple shots using that camera. The fact that they had that camera set up doesn't mean it is scripted for that particular unnecessary shot that OP pointed out. It could be mainly for the other shots that are more meaningful.

Every shot from that angle is unnecessary in the video. It's a bad agle that doesn't add anything or have a purpose.
