Cool. Finally a way to see the insides of a impossible to repair device without destroying it.   A whole genre of content that revels in doing that will be obsolete when this is common.

Any chance you can also add the Buzz Lightyear from the video? I have that exact one at home and I'd love to speculate why the laser button on his arm doesn't work well. (Or where the motion sensor is).

Nice to see such a device in action and what can be done with it.

Would it be viable to look at thermal interface materials or even the spread of TIM between a CPU and a cooler? Might be a nice way to check how good/bad contact is and how thick the layer is. Lots of metal though, so not sure.

Other applications could be fluid distribution in an AIO, though the rig to hold them in a representative (i.e. a SSF case) shape might be way too large for the measurement volume in the machine. Headphones and speakers might be something where this could shine though.

I work in a lab that does some materials engineering.

That floral foam is incredibly toxic. You should not be breathing in the dust and I wouldn't even touch it with my bare hands.

Cool video. Cool machine.

Okay i dont know how likely am i to get answered, but i really wonder whats the post-sales support gonna extent up to. If Lumafield is shuttering its doors, what will happen to these machines later on without the cloud platform? Are these things going to become paperweight or is there already local machine app made for it?

that's why the machine itself is a 'subscription'. i presume LTT doesnt 'own' the machine, it's essentially rented from the manufacturer.

they did mention that there's also the option to buy the machine and use local processing... if you have a rendering farm.

If the company closes, it has assets, and those assets will belong to someone, be it a financial institution, investor or other company.

Whoever has those assets at the end, will want to find a way to get their money back and will either sell them or try to run a business using them.

I think it was mentioned in the video that there is the option ($$$) for those who don't want a cloud service to have a self hosted version, so that is a possibility.
