NVMe SDDs & Z97

Any suggestions for NVMe SDDs, preferably with DRAM, tested to be working with Gigabyte Z97 motherboards, as the M.2 Support List on their website is from 2015? Especially drives that can boot from PCIe adapter cards?

Any NVMe ssd should work on that system as log as its compatible physically with the system. I'd just pick a generally good ssd and it will work fine. Speeds will be a bit slower as your limited by gen 2 speeds on the platform for the chipset lanes.

Some Gigabyte Z97 motherboards do have an M.2 slot.

I am aware of the specifications, so I am asking if someone is actually using such combination.
