Would some adjustments on this build

Budget (including currency): Don't really have a fixed budget but I don't want to go much higher than £1300

Country: UK

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Sim racing games, VR games, Blender

Other details: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/fz6q28

This is my second PC build so I just wanted to find out if I should change out some parts for better value ones or for more efficiency. Thanks!

do you need an efficient build because of the high energy prices here? if so then intel isn't the way to go.

Sorry I should've elaborated more with what I meant by efficiency (which I realize now actual means something different). I meant parts that work nicely together and not having any bottlenecks.

They all work nicely together but as seen in my list you can get better value for money (am5 also has a clearer upgrade path than lga 1700)

A few things. The 12 gen cpu's struggled with getting the rated timings with DDR4 3600. That was supposed to be fixed awhile back with updates but the difference between DDR4 3200 and 3600 with these Intel builds is slim at best. Locked i7 for a B760 board is the norm so that there's no chance of thermal throttling. You want a ATX 3.0 psu for these RTX 40XX cards due to the PCIe 5.0 adapter. Here's a few changes that puts you into a better gpu, a case with better airflow and a larger SSD. The 120mm fan goes inside the back of this case for an exhaust fan. Low profile RAM so that it doesn't impede the dual tower cpu cooler.

The difference between the locked 12 gen i7 and unlocked is one frame per second on average.

Thanks for the help! With the ram, would it maybe be better to get DDR5 ram and a DDR5 board? I know it is a bit more expensive but maybe its worth it in the long term?

If this is a gaming build then DDR4 will do just fine.

Consider a newer locked CPU. It can run a bit cooler.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.
