The User Choice Protection Driver also blocks you being able to set your device "in the EU" by protecting the DeviceRegion registry key, thus preventing you from uninstalling Edge if you're not in the EU.

With how crappy Google is acting up lately, i honestly don't feel bad about it. I find out that recently i am using Chrome and Maps less and less and often go for MS or Huawei's alternatives which are much better and with better options. Bing shows up more accurate and better results, both Petal Maps and Bing Maps give much more detailed information about the traffic, have better navigation, issue-free sinking to my smartwatch and their route planning is LIGHTYEARS ahead of Google Maps. In the case of Chrome vs Edge, lately i noticed i couldn't leave Chrome playing something in the background while i play a game, w/o it constantly freezing and lagging. Never experienced that one before. Thought my hardware had some issue or that my Windows has gone bad, but after a fresh install, it turns out it's simply Chrome that's acting up. No such issues with Edge. I am still very fresh with it, but all the additional tools and Copilot, it's much more user friendly. I really can't believe that MS actually did it and surpassed Google in the very thing that defined them initially.
