Yeah, should be pretty good. Might pick it up after a while. Sorta want to see if the player base peters out after a while.

Beneath this mask there is more than flesh. Beneath this mask there is an idea, Mr. Creedy, and ideas are bulletproof.

As I get older I get angrier more cynical, meaner. I feel some warning posts coming. I feel a ban coming. I was warned.

Hey guys,

 

I just bought the deluxe edition of Wildstar. I am so excited for this game.

So are any of you guys excited for this game aswell?

maybe we can make a LTT guild or play together sometime.

 

Excited but worried. Game? Very good. Combat=awesome. Raids should be awesome. Optimization? Scary.  Obvious they put a lot of time and love into the game though. This is like the opposite of ESO which seemed like a cash grab at the mmo market. If they can get the game raidable on lower end pc's and higher end laptops it could be a very big game. My fear is that people will get left behind or not be able to play it, who are on a current MMO. 

 

I will definitely play it, but I am hoping it runs a lot better than beta, because a lot of my friends who aren't on OC I5's aren't going to have much fun if performance looks the same. I had an absolute blast in beta though and leveled from like 10 up in Battlegrounds. I thought it was really cool that you get random gear as rewards, and I even got some nice blues that were better than the PvP gear you could purchase.  Warrior started slow (leveling was cakewalk though) in pvp but was really starting to hit it's stride even before 20 and warriors always are mediocre until endgame in most MMO's. 

 

Found and auto hamstring augment (sold from the PvP vendor in the capital city) and got a mortal strike and was just wrecking stuff. Housing was also really fun and something I haven't seen since SWG and Ultima Online.

I'll be playing Dominion Tank/DPS char. On the pvp EU server.

Played the beta and I liked it a lot. Can't wait to do the dungeons and the raids. I even want to play PvP since with the telegraph system it looks so more skillfull + enjoyable then WOW .

1 complaint was that it sometimes looks chaotic with 20 people blasting of skills at the same location. But so are 5v5 LOL/Dota fights and I got used to it.

While there is quite a bit to celebrate with WildStar it still doesn't have everything I want.  Questing is not going to be super hard and require groups the majority of the time.  Also I am not sure but I don't think they will have it where when you are a higher level toon and you go into lower level content your toon stats and gear do not scale down to an appropriate level for the content.  If I am wrong on this please let me know.

Still even with these negatives this game does look like a better mmorpg than many out there right now.

Too many ****ing games!  Back log 4 life! :S

I never got the time to do any dungeons or raids and I believe I only did one PvP match where I had no idea what the hell I was doing but I had fun. I do agree with the telegraph system it's so much more enjoyable than just vanilla click enemy, then click buttons.

 

I did a group fight against a big mob called Metalmaw or something like that, it seemed a little hectic but I figured if I spent a bit of time then I'd know what each class was doing and it'd seem less chaotic. After spending 2 years in SWTOR and playing all the classes, a full 8 on 8 wouldn't be that chaotic in my mind cause I know what each person would be doing and the like..

After playing SWTOR for what felt like forever, I ventured a little bit into a Tera and played FFXIV for a good year and I definitely knew what I wanted to see and what I didn't want to see in an MMO, though with that I can honestly say just shy of making your own game, you're never going to find a perfect game that fits your desires, as for Wildstar, it's pretty much the closest to my dream MMO, so I'll settle with it.

Guys I am getting that last minute itch.  The cheapest I can find WildStar for is $47.90 after my credit and coupon on GMG.  That is in US funds.  Anyone know where I can get it cheaper and play early?

Too many ****ing games!  Back log 4 life! :S

I bought it.  I could not resist.  I liked so much about the beta and like quite a bit of what I am hearing about raiding and keeping content hard so yeah going to be playing WildStar really soon!

Definitely up for a LTT guild but I am playing in NA so not sure if we will end up on the same servers.  I don't know what the deal is with servers.

So it's only 4pm where I am, definitely in for early headstart, anyone else?

 

Not really sure what server I'm going to end up in as I don't know what's available, slightly upset there's no APAC server but I don't mind if it means I get to play with some of you guys.

According to their twitter, less than ten minutes.

Don't worry so much about getting in just as it launches, we're all patient people, haha.

 

As expected, it's going to be a tight fit to try and get in just as the servers open, but it's no biggy.

It's like, what, 3 days of early access?

 

Just have to figure out where we're all headed so we're not stuck on separate servers. ;_;

First boss is so tough: NCSoft login server not available.

 

MMO launches are never smooth, so this and then also when the game launches are going to be completely piss.

However, after SWTOR and FFXIV, I think I've seen the worst launches to be able to hand a slightly rocky one here.

I think most people on this fourm will play on the NA servers cause the only servers are NA or EU

 

Apparently there's an Oceanic server.

I finally managed to get in and have a look at the server list.

 

Turns out there's also this neat little info-pic which I never saw, haha.

So, I may actually end up on Myrcalus, simply because I find I have a better playing experience with people of Australia than I do when I play on a US server. (Subtle jab to shitty players in the states, right there, the Harbinger has left a bad taste in my mouth, bloody SWTOR...)

 

Where are you guys heading? If it means to keep rank with some LTT guys I might consider going international if need be..
