Deciding on a do everything graphics card...

I was looking at the current graphics out there and due to some home renovation i've held onto my 1070 ti for way too long. Now it's time to buy a new one due to some upcoming work and games.

The problem i have is what i use it for.

Games - VR, modern 4k/2k, classics directx <9 / 2d.

3D Moddeling - Maya/ blender cuda based plugins etc.

AI - Parts of my dev workflow include training small scale cnn's so memory size is a biggy.

Cost - I want value at the same time. owned flagship card in the past and they are never worth it long term

Warrenty - I've owned a gtx 295🔥, so this is important...

I was looking at the RTX 4070 ti SUPER. It's still crap value but i thought memory and processing power it would last a decent amount of time. I think waiting on the 5000 maybe too late and or they will release at a huge price.

What's your thoughts?

the 5000 series will probably be quite expensive and rumoured to release in Q4 this year i think? But it should bring with it some price drops to the current gen GPUs if youd want to wait and put up with your 1070Ti for now, but it probably wont be a massive price drop in saying this, you wont get a $700 4070 for $500 or anything like that

Sounds reasonable and at least by waiting for the Super you got +4GB VRAM.

I think this is your best bet. You'll definitely notice the uplift in performance
