Should I buy Macbook pro M2 (24 GB Memory) or Macbook pro M3 (8 GB Memory) ?

I have a budget of around $1500 to buy a new laptop. I mostly do coding, specifically machine learning stuff. These two options come at a similar price, more or less. On one hand, the M3 is a bit faster, but it provides a very low amount of unified memory, whereas the M2, while slower, offers a significantly larger amount of memory. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
