GTX 780 HOF edition. No idea what it is, or if I can simply repair it or not. Should I even plug it in and try it?

Looks like it has burned out a component

Yeah, file an RMA. I bricked my GTX 770 Lightning and MSI were more than helpful with solving the problem.

No just over doing a overclock.. I dob't know if I can RMA without them noticing.. Don't even know if I got a warranty left.

If so you should be fine as the card with a stock BIOS will not let you overvolt it much and I don't think they have a way of knowing if you have overclocked the card or not.

I hope I can get a RMA on it... if not I hope i can fix it myself... I don't want to ruin a motherboard or cpu testing it either.

since this card is made for overclocking you should be able to RMA it.

the 780 hasn't been out THAT long, you should still have warranty left. And about the overclocking, you don't lose your warranty by applying +100mV in afterburner. That little bit of extra voltage shouldn't burn out any components, I'd be very surprised if you couldn't get it through RMA.

Try to RMA it as stated above.

What happened when it "broke" originally?

Was there sparking? Did the PC turn off? Did you trip your PSU/house circuit breaker? I would be careful about plugging it back in again. If it is shorting to earth you could blow a fuse in your PSU.

Not sure how successful you will be at finding a replacement chip or soldering it on yourself :/
