I want to buy it in March,

2 things, you could have made the post little later, not saying now is bad time, just saying that:

  1. you could have made the list on pcpartpicker - it even has Portugal markets for near accurate part prices
  2. you could make a post when you find a good deal/discount on a part in your price-range and build-level

But it's fine.

  • x3D good,
  • B650 Gaming x AX is good,
  • decent GPU works if faster model is out of budget,
  • SSD is good fast, could be cheaper but it would obviously cut some of it's speed and less durability,
  • 6000Mhz 36CL RAM is okay, but CL30 would be better unless it's too expensive
  • Noctua is okay cooler, very quiet, not the cheapest you could go for I think, maybe could be something else (because if you buy silent CPU cooler but other case and GPU fans start roaring it won't matter)
  • Decent PSU, but I'd personally go for something else, going high-end with this particular PSU can be cutting it close
  • you're actually slightly overspending for a PSU, you can get something cheaper

Here's an example of a list and components that could work quite well, you can switch the SSD to your 1TB samsung, the SSD in my list uses a decent quality 2TB SSD:

(you can also use the Noctua CPU cooler)

A higher quality PSU would be Corsair RM750e, but MWE GOLD 750 V2 is pretty good too

Greetings,

I'd like to ask the forum for help in building a new gaming computer, as it's been a long time since I've built one.

Budget (including currency): Around 1700€

Country: Portugal
Currency: Euro

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Gaming

Other details:
I have the peripherals.
Monitor is still 23" but I will buy a bigger later.
I want to buy it in March,
I want to play 1440p / 144Hz games

I exchange my last desktop for a weak gaming laptop because I need it for work.
Some of the games I want to play: Granblue Fantasy: Relink; Last Epoch; Tempest Rising, Homeworld 3; ARMORED CORE™ VI FIRES OF RUBICON; Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2; and Star Citizen. In terms of online gaming, I only play co-op like Monster Hunter World.

Extra: I would like to play games without having a ducted fan in my ears.

This is what I have so far.

Please give me your opinion about it.

1 X SSD Samsung 980 PRO 1TB Gen4 M.2 NVMe (7000/5000MB/s) - 119,90 €

1 X Seasonic PRIME PX 750W 80+ Platinum - 179,90 €

1 X Gigabyte B650 Gaming X AX - 227,90 €

1 X Gigabyte Radeon RX 7800 XT Gaming OC 16GB GDDR6 - 589,90 €

1 X G.Skill Kit 32GB (2 x 16GB) DDR5 6000MHz Flare X5 EXPO CL36 Black - F5-6000J3636F16GX2-FX5 - 128,90 €

1 X  CPU Noctua NH-D15 - 109,90 €

1 X AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D 8-Core (4.2GHz-5.0GHz) 104MB AM5 - 393,90 €

Total: 1 750,30 €

As for the PC case, I'm not sure what to buy. I wanted at least something easy to clean and efficient. At the beginning I was thinking on a E-ATX Fractal Design Torrent Black because of thermals and DBs, but the price has gone up a little - 209,90€.

Thank you for your time.

You dont need a 980 PRO, get a SN 850x for cheaper. Performs the same if not better, and for gaming its more then enough.

Get a different PSU, a 750W Plat for 180$ is a pretty terrible deal. Should be able to get a different one, 850W Gold or plat.

Get different ram, you want 6000 mhz CL30 preferably.

You can swap the NH-D15 for a Thermalright Phantom Spirit, or get an Arctic 280mm AIO for cheaper, or a 360 Arctic if your case allows, although 280mm is fine for a 7800x3d.

I wouldnt get a massive case if you dont need it. The Fractal POP series is more then enough.

opt for the Corsair RM750e or Cooler Master MWE Gold 850 - V2 850, if you plan upgrading GPUs in the future, if you plan on staying on the new gpu for as long as possible the PSU on list should be plenty

The 120mm fan goes inside the back of that case for a exhaust fan.
