(SOLVED) Microsoft Outlook minimization issue...

instead, it appears to the bottom-right of my task bar as one of the miniature icons.

Right click the icon in the system tray, unchecked "Hide when minimised". Left click the notification icon to restore outlook. When you next minimise it should stay open in the taskbar.

For some reason as of today, whenever I minimize Microsoft Outlook at the top-right using the ' - ' minimze icon, it is instead closing the app on my bottom taskbar and it is no longer a highlighted square icon... instead, it appears to the bottom-right of my task bar as one of the miniature icons.

However, I am very used to having open loads of applications on the task bar and flicking between them. If I now click on the unhighlighted Outlook logo, it will just open a brand new session of Outlook, meaning I will have multiple running.

Hopefully I am making sense... can anyone help?

EDIT: SOLVED.

Honestly sounds like a corrupted install. I'd uninstall/reinstall

5950X/3080Ti primary rig  |  1920X/1070Ti Unraid for dockers  |  200TB TrueNAS w/ 1:1 backup
