How should i charge my rechargeable batteries for Xbox Controller?

controllerplayer

Hello guys i have 2 questions. Can you please help me?

1.) Can you use rumble with a Bluetooth connection? Some people say yes. Some say no. I'm confused.

2.) Can you charge rechargable batteries with an Xbox controller? Again some say yes. Some say no.

Thank you.

Windows actually has native Xbox controller support, just do your research through settings.

I know that. But the rumble will work with Bluetooth right? It works with USB cable.

Are you sure? I don't believe you can recharge generic AA rechargeable batteries in an Xbox controller. Only the official Microsoft kits.

I don't see why you couldn't but I don't know from experience

Microsoft themselves say you can't, at least for Xbox One:

Quote

For the best performance, rechargeable AA (LR6) batteries are recommended. Note that these rechargeable batteries don’t charge in the controller. Recharge these batteries by the method recommended by the manufacturer.

The controller itself can't, unless the batteries are rechargable.  I have a bunch of eneloop batteries that came with a battery charger that you put them into. You can also buy docks for special (non AA) rechargeable batteries that the controller sits on.

Use the charger the batteries came with?

That is only for the official rechargeable battery packs that can be charged while still in the controller.

Standard rechargeable batteries and non official rechargeable battery packs require recharging in an external charger or requires the charging cable be plugged directly into the battery pack.

Thanks. I have a question. Does rumble works on Bluetooth? Some says yes, some says no. I'm confused.

1) Rumble works with bluetooth (at least on an xbox one controller as I haven't tested with a series controller yet)

2) it depends on what you're using as the official rechargeable battery pack can be charged whilst still in the controller, but standard rechargeable batteries and third party rechargeable battery packs will either need to be removed from the controller to be recharged, have the charging cable be plugging directly into the battery pack and not the controller or the controller will have to be placed into a dock to recharge the batteries.

If you mean eneloops then no. You just need to cycle them with your eneloop charger. But if you're hardwiring why does bluetooth matter?
