Updating Windows, but how do i remove Sledgehammer completely? (instructions unclear)

I know it sounds silly, but the readme isn't really clear (it says to download "something") but this forum post *is* very clear

so really all i need to do is run this script,  correct? 

 

 

also this is the portable version,  i thought that'd make it easier,  not sure about that anymore now...

A "portable" version doesn't need uninstalling, you just delete the files.

You can't uninstall an app you never installed in the first place. Just delete the files and it is gone

This is a thing that changes Windows settings, so the app itself is portable, but you've still gotta run the script if you want to undo the changes it made.

that's what im thinking,  i guess I'll just have to try... just wanted some kind of sanity check i guess, thanks!

right, but see above,  the app would be gone, but the changes it made wouldn't, hence it would seem i need to run the "uninstall script" ...

So yeah, that was all that was needed*

 

 

 

*for most people probably,  but i also had to run DISM and sfc scannow,  but i already knew that because i personally renamed wassmedic to notwaasmedic and windows can't update without that service 

 

took only 5 minutes though so yeah!
