Good Bookshelf Speakers

Dream Driver 47

Im wanting to get some new bookshelf speakers to replace my edifier s880db's that have been pretty good for the music I listen to on them, the only reason I'm wanting to upgrade from them is that I used them for a new years party and they just weren't good enough for the bass of the music I was playing, the speakers got muffled because the music was playing really loud and the bass was just too much even when I had the bass dial on the back turned down to minimum, so Im considering either getting some speakers that are better at handling bass or a 2.1 system that will work good for my needs, the only thing that I really need them to have is to have bluetooth and usb so I can hook up my MacBook for lossless audio quality

^^^ budget and location please

do you want separate pieces or all in one?

Budget is going to tell us a lot because you can spend a lot, I'm quick to recommend some power hungry Micca's that I adore and have great bass, but they need an amp and while your at it a dac.  This all add's up very quickly.

Micca RB42

2ch power amp

dac

You're already at $360+ without a subwoofer and no BT

Also don't worry so much about lossless, I have it and the equipment to appreciate it on but 90% of the time I'm not focused on my hardware and the listening for it to matter.

*edit: about no BT... This looks promising.  I have owned and analyzed everything linked except this.

the budget is around 400 aud and the location is australia, i would prefer if it was all in one like my current ones, i was looking at the klipsch promedia heritage 2.1 but they are about 300 bucks out of my budget right now but if i wait a bit i could be able to afford them, i dont need a upgrade right now but it would be nice to have something better

Have you looked at JBL 305's or Kali LP6 at all? They're some of the best "budget" bookshelf speakers you can buy (plus you aren't paying Genelec prices)

looking at them they look pretty good besides the fact that they don’t have bluetooth and if i wanted to get the jbl from a proper store near me they cost around 600 aud so i don’t know if i would be able to get them, i really like using bluetooth on the speakers and i don’t want to have to shell out for a bluetooth receiver just cause i didn’t get speakers with bluetooth unless the speakers are so good that it’s worth it to get the receiver and the speakers
