what do i do about this? the wd drive have fewer holes in it than my seagate baracuda drive so the wd drive holes don't line up with the pins. that means i can't currently mount the wd drive inside the case. is there some kind of fix for this?

Got a drill or dremel?

I've had to chop holes in dozens of cases over the years. They're really just cheap pieces of sheet metal, so modifying them to meet a demand isn't a big deal. Until you get to the high end and its all machined aluminum, you're dealing with painted mild steel.

If the case doesn't natively support the type of drive, there might be a reason. If its simply a poorly designed HDD caddy, then that can be fixed with a bit of creativity (and power tools).
