ASUS ROG MARS 760 x2

True, but not quite. First of, the 290X Lightning is significantly more expensive than the Asus Mars 760 and is not even close in performance. It does beat it in specific games, but all round the Mars is faster, it's faster than the TITAN Black at only half the price, especially now with the latest drivers, which gives it a tone of performance...

Now, there are indeed some rare occasions when SLI doesn't scale that good, though they are not that many and usually not AAA titles, which are the ones I care about.

Any non-reference is still very similar, and cheaper (in the us.) Save $100 and get any other non-reference 290x and it still performs similar/better than a mars 760.

Same goes for any 780.

Always, always buy the stronger card over two weaker cards.

don't know if somebody picked up on this yet.

about the green led's , i had a green and a red light once... and the card did start up, without those led's i wouldn't notice that there was something wrong with one of my cards before it was to late and out of warranty.
Maybe stupid as shit when everything is all working perfectly but it has it needs.

You can allways give that card to me if you can't live with the led's xD

It runs at 81C at stock, just as any other nVidia Card. If you try to overclock it, well, you can't really achieve anything unless you push the temperature slider forward up to 85-90C.

The only overclock that I managed to do, while keeping the card at stock voltage and still don't pass over 21C, was that I added +100 to the memory. With that OC my Fire Strike X score jumped from 5700 to 5830.

O fcourse, if you are really into overclocking this is definitely not the card to get. It's basically fitting and forgetting about it.
