Animal Crossing - Deleting Save Data

Im trying to either completely restart animal crossing or kick my ex off the island and I cant seem to do either. 

Ive looked at videos that say go to Settings > Data Management > Animal Crossing > Delete save data but 'Delete save data' isnt there.

If I go into animal crossing and open settings and choose move another resident off the island, I cant move my ex. I'm assuming she's the resident representative. 

 

Ive tried deleting and reinstalling the game with no luck.

I have all other users / Miis deleted from the switch as well.

 

Thoughts? 

 

Edit: I think  I figured it out. The tutorial I found had 'Delete save data' in a different place.
