Apps not following notification vibration pattern on Xiaomi phone.

I'm wondering if anyone has this issue with their xiaomi device where even when you set your notification (built-in xiaomi ringtones) that has a unique tactile vibration pattern; and when they receive a notification from whatsapp, instagram etc, it just completely ignores it and instead does the long double vibration. Even when receiving whatsapp calls, it does the long vibration pattern instead of the tactile ones. Only messages from SMS and incoming calls from the phone app follows the tactile vibration pattern.

I updated from MIUI to HyperOS and the issue is still not fixed. (I had this issue on MIUI too)

Current device: Xiaomi 13T

Any solutions would be greatly appreciated.

im pretty sure that the built in vibration patterns only concern system functions, for example calls

for other applications you have to change the vibrations through their own interface

I have played around with the vibration settings inside the app interface but nothing seems to be working. While in the phone setting, there is only an option to disable or to turn on vibration in the apps notification.

meaning that you probably cannot change the vibration style for individual apps

Oof well that is a bummer, Xiaomi has got to fix this in their future updates. Though its not really a big issue but I feel like little details like these should be taken into consideration.

I had an S20Fe that has the same issue before this but the newer updates totally fixed it. So I'm assuming its the lack of app optimization for Xiaomi devices. (Or that the OS is just a hot pile of trash)
