Looking for good quality Micless Headphones for PC <70€

Hi! I do a bit of gaming here and there, mostly Tekken or League/Lethal Company. I was looking for some good quality micless headphones (since i already have a standing mic) preferably for under 70-80€. Could also recommend for 100€ i might be able to push it that far.

Many thanks!!

Around this budget Shure 440A is my first pick, though KOSS KSC-75 are insanely cheap for how good they sound

headphones are so subjective. It's really hard to offer anything really in most cases unless you're a power user/enthusiast. you know what I use as wireless headphones? 30$ big battery jogging headphones my friend yup.

NEVER GIVE UP. NEVER STOP LEARNING. DONT LET THE PAST HURT YOU. YOU CAN DOOOOO IT

You could get the HyperX Cloud II, they have a mic but you can unplug it. This way you would have a backup should you ever need it.

Yeah honestly I love the sound quality you get on hyperx cloud II with the option for surround sound for hearing footsteps if you need it. Honestly I have a few pretty good headphones that are better for listening to music but prefer the hyper x for gaming 99% of the time.

The virtual surround implementation is garbage in them like all headsets. The direction of audio cues are thrown off crazy.

I have used them for years and they have been very good in the games I play. Are you sure it isn't just the games fault rather than the headphones?

Unfortunately not, the directional audio stuff is just being played via software, there is a finite limit to how the speakers in your headphones move and acoustic limits of where sound can "come" from. With higher quality audio products the imaging, soundstage and detail you get completely blow the best virtual surround out the water and make it seem like a bad gimmick in comparison

Yeah I am not sure what you are talking about. I have tried using audiophile headphones for games and they are just worse in terms of being able to hear direction in my experience. It's why I switched back to using the hyperx for gaming and mainly use the other headphones for music.

"audiophile headphones" is a very wide term, I would enjoy using the hyperx for gaming to see if they can game better than my plethora or "audiophile headphones" but I'm uncertain how they can trump a good pair of regular headphones in gaming.

Phillips SHP9600, the 9500 are shrill and fatiguing otherwise excellent, the 9600 was supposed to have fixed this.

Anything Koss under $50usd (supposedly their better stuff = no bueno) Think Kph30ci Kph40 KSC75 etc and can always enhance with a pad swap.

The review of the hyperx on LTT/techquickie was really good and I almost bought them just to see if I agree

What about IEM's?

And to the virtual surround controversy.... I don't like the idea of anything being between me and the intended experience, so no extra software layer for me thanks.

For me I own the mx50 and HD600 mostly because I wanted on open back and one closed back and those two were highly recommended. Both are great for music but I still prefer the hyper x for gaming. Just plain easier to hear where people are coming from in hyper x. Also it isn't like the mx50 and HD600 blow it out of the water in terms of sound in games as I don't notice much of a difference compared to the difference when listening to music. Also the hyper x is actually pretty decent even when listening to music considering its price and that it is a gaming headset. Not audiophile level but world's better than some of the other gaming headphones I have owned which are horrible for similar price.
