Any way to save a "window" in chrome between pc restart(s)?

Go to solution Solved by PDifolco,

Chrome settings -> On startup -> Continue where you left off

Screenshot(2890).thumb.png.d168ba423a6f203826bd0a51abce5340.png

i can restore this window as long i want.... but it seems only to last for 1 session, i imagine if i restart the pc its gone too..

any way to save it ?

and nah, history is useless because the order *will* be messed up, some pages aren't saved at all, etc.

Playlist also doesn't work, because its way too tedious and unreliable (unfortunately)

so i need an option to save this window,  at least during a restart...

well it worked,  but im not sure it's because of this setting because it still opened on the google start page and *not* the window i last opened.  however, the window was still able to be retrieved (i even gave it a name) but that means im still not sure what happens if i close that window and open another one ... pretty sure the previous window will be lost in that case, but I'll definitely test that soon.

I use that since ages and it restores all my "previous session" windows every time, unless Chrome crashes

my man, with bookmarks i will never be able to restore that window,  because, shocking i know, there are *other* bookmarks already...!  plus it would be tedious as hell if you have like 100s of videos, for example.

easy solution:  "save this window", but that doesn't seem to be an option,  despite it giving you the option to restore the *last* window (but not the *previous* window,  which is the issue)

And even if it does and starts blank as "safe mode" there's a button to reload the session.

To add to the other answers, keep in mind that if you have multiple Chrome windows open and you want to continue the session where you left it off with multiple windows, you need to quit Chrome with the three-dot menu, so that all windows close simultaneously. If you individually close all the separate windows, Chrome will only resume with the last one you closed.

i guess this was theoretically the right answer,  i have been able to restore that window between several restarts, etc.

however it seems to store only 3 of those "windows" and now between opening and closing i somehow lost 2 of them... so i guess its not a permanent solution, but technically still the right answer to my question.

now i just wish i could transform exactly that history window into a playlist with the correct order... (would that be possible?  guess not)

ps: if you see a pattern in my song selection, that's damn right,  i like good music only, tyvm ~ 👍

It'll just reopen each window/tab where it was, then whatever's in them will be up to the website.

Why aren't you making a playlist on YT?

well but i literally lost 2 of thoss tabs/windows somehow,  really odd, because they were there all day lol.

well i want to, but its tedious,  from my recollection it doesn't add songs reliably and thus the order gets mixed up a lot - which is fixable,  but very tedious and takes a long time usually.

Huh? Just click Save, select the playlist and it gets added, in order, and even if it wasn't in the right order you can just drag them right on the playlist.

yeah, well it did open and the order (from left to right) was right every time, which is what i wanted.

i guess i didn't exit with the "3 dots" every time,  that let it forget the two other windows seemingly.

When i tried this years ago it didn't work, it said "added to playlist" but most videos were simply missing then.

for the order, i suppose i need to add the videos in reverse,  so it starts with the right video.

Well FIREFOX used to have an option called "SAVE AND EXIT"......but you can also PIN your tab.
It will be saved....even after PC restarts.

These Chrome users don't know anything... 😛

Well could they when they're using Chrome?

"Sandboxed" piece of c...

I heard that coffee's good for my sex life.

It isn't.
